Privacy notice
Last updated October 9, 2026
DeskOnDuty is a service of Desert Nomad Solutions LLC in Phoenix, Arizona. This notice explains, in plain language, what happens to information on this website, in emails, and in our free demos and client assistants.
This website
- This site uses no cookies, no analytics, no ads and no tracking scripts.
- It loads no scripts, fonts or images from other companies.
- The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare handles basic technical information, such as your IP address, to deliver the pages and protect the site from abuse.
Emails you send us
When you write to hello@deskonduty.com or support@deskonduty.com, we use your email only to reply to you and to do what you asked, such as building a demo. We don’t sell it and we don’t add you to a mailing list. Our email is hosted by Google Workspace.
Businesses we contact
- We may write to a business to offer a free demo, at an email address the business publishes on its own website or through its website’s contact form.
- We keep the business’s name, website, that published address, our notes about its public pages and the emails we exchange in our private records.
- We may build a demo before we write, so that our first email can include a link to it.
- If you’d like us to stop writing to you, or to remove your business from our prospect list, reply to our email or write to hello@deskonduty.com.
Free demos
- We build demos only from a business’s public web pages. Nothing behind a login and no private documents go into a demo.
- We delete a demo, including the copy of your pages in it, 14 days after we build it, unless the business asks us in writing to keep it. If you’d like yours removed sooner, email us. We keep a short record of your business name, website and our emails.
- Demos run on Google Cloud, which processes the questions typed into a demo to find answers in that business’s pages. Please don’t type personal or sensitive information into a demo.
Client assistants
A client assistant is the “Ask a question” box a business we work for puts on its own website. This is how it handles what you type:
- It answers only from content that client approves: its public web pages and the documents it chooses to give us.
- Questions typed into an assistant are processed on Google Cloud, which searches that business’s content for the answer.
- For each question we keep its wording (with email addresses and phone numbers taken out), the date and time, whether it was answered, which of the business’s pages answered it, and a random code that groups the questions from one visit to the page. Some businesses, such as clinics, have us keep only the counts, not the wording.
- We don’t keep your IP address, your browser details or the page you were on, and the assistant sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. To stop one connection from asking without limit, we count each day’s questions under a short code made from your network address that can’t be turned back into the address.
- DeskOnDuty reads them to prepare the client’s monthly report of what its customers asked, and the client sees them in that report. The business keeps the reports we send it.
- Question records are deleted 90 days after they’re asked, and our own copies of the monthly reports after 3 months. If a business stops using its assistant, we delete its question records then.
- To have a question deleted sooner, email hello@deskonduty.com with the website, the date and the wording, or ask the business.
- Assistants are set up for front-desk questions, not medical, legal or financial advice. Please don’t share health, financial or other sensitive details with them.
Payments
Clients pay through Stripe, which handles the card details. We see the payer’s name, email address and whether the payment went through, never the full card number, and we keep the email address and the payment record with the client’s account.
Changes to this notice
If we change how we handle information, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
